Website renovation proposal · Noosa Adventist College · 12 October 2026
Prepared for Olivia Chapman, Stephanie and the NAC leadership team

A website that puts enrolments first.

A clearer, more modern nac.qld.edu.au, benchmarked on Brisbane Adventist College and built in NAC's own brand, photography and voice. Your team can keep it up to date without calling a developer.

What you asked for

Five goals from our conversation.

Every part of this proposal maps back to one of these.

The design direction

How the new site will feel.

The full design is created in the first stage of the project and approved by NAC before anything is built. This is the direction it will take.

Colour

Blue leads, charcoal for text

As referenced in the Adventist Education South Queensland Typography Guidelines. Adventist Excellence blue leads. Charcoal stays as the colour of headings and text, and gives up the large dark panels to navy. Gold is kept for small highlights.

BlueCharcoalNavyGoldLight
Type

Clear and readable

A small school with a big heart.

Open Sans for headings and text, as set out in the Adventist Education South Queensland Typography Guidelines. Bold picks out the key words in a heading.

Principles

What guides every page

  • Enrolment actions always one tap away
  • Any page in two clicks from the menu
  • Real NAC photography, current uniform only
  • Short, scannable sections instead of long text
  • Designed for the phone first

Homepage structure, top to bottom

The homepage

A clear path, top to bottom.

  1. Campaign sliderFull-width slides for Kindy enrolments, tours and Open Days, scheduled to start and stop on their own.
  2. Quick actionsEnquire, Apply, Book a tour and Contact, right under the slider.
  3. Welcome"A small school with a big heart", in a few lines rather than a long block of text.
  4. Kindy to Year 12 pathwaysKindergarten, Prep, Primary and Secondary presented as one journey on one campus.
  5. Life at NACSport, the arts, faith and camps in a photo-led layout.
  6. Our valuesThe seven values, given a section of their own.
  7. Tours and eventsUpcoming tours and information evenings with a registration button on each.
  8. NewsThe latest stories, with a featured story first.
  9. Current familiesPortal, term dates, buses, tuckshop and uniform store in one place.
  10. Enrolment invitationA final, simple call to enquire or book a tour.
The approach

Keep WordPress. Change the builder.

Your site stays on WordPress, along with the uniform shop, your content and your Google history. What changes is the tool the pages are built with. Elementor Pro replaces the current theme's builder and several separate plugins with one visual editor your team can learn in an afternoon.

No custom code is needed for anything in this proposal. Fewer plugins means fewer updates, fewer conflicts and fewer things that can break.

Options & pricing

Three ways forward.

A homepage refresh in the current builder, the complete renovation, and an honest note on custom code. All prices are fixed, in Australian dollars.

Essential

Homepage refresh

The urgent enrolment work and a new homepage, built with the site's current builder.

$2,950fixed
3–4 weeks
  • New homepage, full page, in the current builder
  • Homepage campaign slider
  • Enquire, Apply, Book a tour and Contact at the top of the homepage
  • Menu reorganised into the new sections, with dropdowns
  • Simple campaign pop-up you can switch on and off
  • Audit corrections on the homepage and menu: current name, branding and uniform photos
  • Forms stay on the current Elfsight service, unchanged
  • Urgent fix: reliable email delivery (see below)
  • Training session and a short written guide

Best if budget is tight this year. The rest of the site, including the shop, stays as it is. Optional add-on: corrections from your audit spreadsheet on the other pages, 10 hours for $900, or simple fixes made by your team after training. Good to know: work in the current builder doesn't carry over. If NAC later chooses the complete renovation, the homepage is built again and page corrections are made again.

Recommended Complete renovation

The new NAC website

A full redesign across the whole site and the uniform shop, plus the tools for your team to run it.

$7,100$7,600fixed

Includes a $500 returning-client discount

4–6 weeks, homepage live by week 4
  • Priority delivery: homepage live by week 4, full site by week 6
  • New homepage design, approved by NAC before the build
  • Slider, quick actions, scheduled pop-ups and the email delivery fix
  • All ~65 existing pages rebuilt on new, consistent templates
  • Up to 10 new pages for the sections you proposed, such as Wellbeing and Community, built from copy NAC supplies
  • Full navigation with a large Future families menu
  • Kindy, Primary, Secondary, Future and Current families pathways
  • Reusable event and landing-page template, and a new news layout
  • Existing forms rebuilt with Elementor's form builder, and Microsoft Forms embedded for event registrations
  • Uniform shop redesign: Kindy, Primary, Secondary and Accessories categories, modern product layout
  • Content corrections from your audit spreadsheet (text, images, links, documents), up to 10 hours included
  • SEO and analytics foundations, redirects for any changed URLs
  • Recorded training and a written guide

Best if you want the navigation, the look and the shop fixed once, properly.

Optional

Custom code

You asked for custom work to be listed separately, only where existing tools aren't enough.

Not needed
Quoted per item if it comes up
  • Everything in both options above uses standard, supported tools
  • The shop's existing custom fee calculation stays as it is
  • Any future custom feature is quoted separately at $90/hour, with its cost, benefit and upkeep spelled out

Why: custom code is extra to maintain. Use it only when it clearly pays off.

Timeline · Complete renovation

Homepage first, full site in six weeks.

The new homepage and menu go live first, so the enrolment campaigns don't wait for the rest of the site. Each stage is built on your staging site and goes live only after NAC has reviewed and approved it.

Training & handover

Your team runs it day to day.

A recorded hands-on session plus a short illustrated guide, so routine updates never need a developer. The guide also covers when to call for help.

The practical side

What we need, and what it costs to run.

What we need from NAC

  • The website audit spreadsheet (URLs, changes, priorities)
  • Approved photos showing the current uniform, with publishing permission
  • The wording and photos for every new page and section. NAC writes the copy; I design and build the pages
  • Final wording for campaigns, slides and pop-ups
  • Access to the staging site and admin
  • One named person to give approvals, and replies within 2 working days, so the six-week timeline holds

New sections: your proposed menu adds sections such as Wellbeing, Community, Future Families and Current Families. Where a page has no content yet, I build the layout and NAC supplies the words. Copywriting is not included, and is available at $90/hour if you would like help.

Ways to reduce cost: supplying final copy and selected photos, and making smaller audit fixes yourselves after training, keeps the audit hours low.

Ongoing costs
